Pokemon combo teams

These teams will be useful in 2-on-2 battles,(Which I personally think are more strategizing and fun) using Pokemon's abilities to their advantage or defense. Some of these may be well known, others not, but all of them lethal to enemies.

plusle/ minun

This can be a risky team, but it is no doubt powerful to most enemies.

Plusle-((Plus-Female))-Thunder Wave, Thunder, Rain Dance, Helping Hand.     Item=Magnet

Minun-((Minus-Male))-Attract, Rain Dance, Helping Hand, Thunder.                 Item=Magnet

Have whichever of yours is faster use Rain Dance to ensure the other's Thunder has 100% accuracy. You can have one Helping Hand and the other continue Thundering until all enemies weak to Electricity are fried. Thunder Wave and Attract are similar in effect, but Attracting works only for the opposite gender, and doesn't cut their enemies' Speed stat. Therefore, it is more reccomended to have Thunder Wave, but either is still efficient for softening up enemies that aren't particularly weak to Thunder. Choice Specs may be substituted for Magnets.

Ariados/ umbreon

This is a team concentrating on crippling your enemies with multiple status effects, then crushing them with simple attacks.

Ariados-((Either-Swarm))-Spider Web, Protect, Attract, Signal Beam.           Insect Plate/Leftovers

Umbreon-((Either-Synchronize))-Confuse Ray, Toxic, Psychic, Dark Pulse.    Blackglasses/Leftovers

Ariados Spider Webs the foes, and Umbreon Confuse Rays the enemy who poses the most threat to the duo. Ariados Attracts what it can, and Umbreon Toxics the enemy. Ariados can Protect to prolong the Poisoned Pokemon's suffering. Umbreon may substitute Psychic for Protect, but one of these should know Psychic, as defense from Fighting types that can wipe out Umbreon. Moonlight is another option for Umbreon. After your foes are sufficiently weakened, destroy them with Signal Beam and Dark Pulse.

zapdos/ kyogre

One of my favorite opening teams, use Kyogre's Drizzle to Zapdos's Thundering advantage.

Kyogre-((None-Drizzle))-Hydro Pump, Water Spout, Calm Mind, Ice Beam      Miracle Water/Wide Lens

Zapdos-((None-Pressure))-Thunder, Drill Peck, Thunder Wave, Charge          Magnet/Shell Bell

Zapdos opens up with a powerful Thunder attack, and Kyogre blasts away with an amplified Hydro Pump or Water Spout. Zapdos's Charge can power up Thunder even more, and Kyogre cam Calm Mind to up its attacks. Ice beam clears away Grass and Ground, Zapdos's Drill Peck mops up more Bugs. Although these Pokemon probably won't clear the entire battle, they can definitely sweep past many foes you will face.

fearow/ Marowak

Marowak with Lightning Rod defends Fearow from many Flying trumping electric attacks, and the two together can sweep many fields with high Attack power.

Marowak-((Either-Lightning Rod))-Earthquake, Iron Tail, Aerial Ace, Stone Edge     Thick Club

Fearow-((Either-Keen Eye))-Drill Peck, Roost, Return, Giga Impact                         Sharp Beak

Another hack-and-slash team, Diverse movesets and covering each other's weaknesses lead this duo to wipe down foes with item-boosted attacks. If you have Pokemon Platinum, then teaching Fearow Heat Wave instead of Giga Impact is a wise idea to get rid of Ice types.

groudon/ venasaur

Venusaur's Solarbeam gets a first-turn attack on helpless Water, Ground, and Rock types. The two Pokemon cover each other's weakness, making the duo a force to be reconned with.

Groudon-((None-Drought))-Eruption, Stone Edge,
